What an interesting shaped lot you have! Now we need to know how much sun that front yard lot gets - and your climate zone. It would be nice to see a photo or even sketch of the front and how you envision that kidney shape in relation to the house. Do you have any possibility of doing that? If you don't have a scanner or digital camera but are using Windows you may be able to fiddle around in the Paint program that comes with it to give us a rought sketch.
