» Gay_Klok - Moosey's garden delightful! Absolutely delightful, both article and photos and garden. When I first started gardening [in the Town House Garden], I was visited by a lady who lives only one street along and who owns one of the very best gardens in Tasmania. She looked at the garden bed where I had planted a whole mass of "Iceberg" roses that had grown from cuttings from my mother's garden. As the cuttings had all grown rapidly, I couldn't bear not to plant any of them Judy said to me "I think your long border is marvelous." I was so excited, I couldn't wait for Kees,to get home , I rang him at work "Did you know we have a Long Border? That is what Judy called the Icebergs bed" -- posted by Gay_Klok » Carol Wallace - Long border Sounds positively Gertrude Jeckyll to have a long border!I really enjoyed the garden and article, too - love the humor. -- posted by Carol Wallace » jerrib - This was a jewel of a guest article, Carol. I, too, look fine as a virtual garden, but let anyone come to visit and they will see sheer disorganization in my garden. It's a perennial flower garden alright, but after so many deer and slugs and rabbits chewing on it, I sometimes just take a long vacation from it until the urge strikes me to try again. Never know how it will turn out. (Yes I do have the critter-free plant list, but that's no fun!)But I like my garden. I never know what will pop up and struggle to survive the critters! And when a plant blooms and stays on the vine a while I silently cheer! Jerri -- posted by jerrib

On my browser the pictures have come out as boxes with that dreaded little cross on the top left hand corner. -- posted by Jo Murphy » Carol Wallace - Re: Re: Moosey's garden..Very Virtual Garden In response to message posted by martine3038:I loved this article too, and tried hard to get Moosie to apply to be an editor - she said she would like to, but I think in the end she was too shy. But the humor is so great - as is the garden! We all want to see your flamingos when you finish that mural, Jo! At the moment I am off murals and into painting faux Moorish tile on a bland, blank closet door in my pantry - but nevertheless, I am still painting on walls. ;-) I can't figure out what kind of yellow blotches you are seeing - I just checked and all photos seem quite normal to me. -- posted by Carol Wallace
