» Tina_Coruth - So true!

Hi Lana,

Your last sentence says it all, "There is no substitute to politeness, careful choice of kind words, avoidance of rudeness and practice of courtesy , regardless of cultures." Imagine the conflicts that could be avoided between people, between countries, cultures, and religions if these words were followed!

I really enjoyed your comparison of proverbs of Vietnam and the US. It shows that our basic philosphies are very much the same. This has been a very interesting series and I enjoyed it immensely. I always look forward to visiting -- you have a great topic!

Tina

» Renie_Burghardt - Proverbs

Hi Lana, I, too, have enjoyed these proverbs. The similarities are so interesting. Basic politeness and good will towards others is universal.

Wonderful as usual. Have a happy Mother's Day!

Renie

Thanks for bridging the culture gap with these articles. We do have a lot of the same values, don't we? Jerri

I agree with you. I think we will find many common values in different cultures. The same goes with religions. Thank you for stopping by. Please come again.
