» Tina_Coruth - So true!
Hi Lana,Your last sentence says it all, "There is no substitute to politeness, careful choice of kind words, avoidance of rudeness and practice of courtesy , regardless of cultures." Imagine the conflicts that could be avoided between people, between countries, cultures, and religions if these words were followed!
I really enjoyed your comparison of proverbs of Vietnam and the US. It shows that our basic philosphies are very much the same. This has been a very interesting series and I enjoyed it immensely. I always look forward to visiting -- you have a great topic!

Hi Lana, I, too, have enjoyed these proverbs. The similarities are so interesting. Basic politeness and good will towards others is universal.Wonderful as usual. Have a happy Mother's Day!
