In response to your article, emotional and psychological abuse is not well known in my area by therapist. The victims get labeled as Dependant Personality, Anxiety DO, or just plain depression. I am a therapist and also have ended a relationship with a N. He used religion a tool to make people admire him and feel self-rightous. When I was questioning our relationship and my feelings it was so hard because he would say things like, all you need is the Bible, his church, surrender etc. If I questioned his statements he would chalk it us to I am not spiritual enough. I doubted my relationship with my Higher Power. I still get a strange feeling when people talk about religion. I dont trust others right now, all fallout from the relationship. I think that I am a victim of abuse but sometimes it is hard for me because there are no physcial marks. DEB-- posted by smartdebbie2001
