» not_him_again - Some agreement, but... For once, we partially agree on something, but exactly how would you solve it? What law could be framed? And besides, this is once again ducking the issue of how we got into this mess.It is true that minimum wages are too low, but that isn't how workers lost their relative strength here. It is internationalists like Mr. Clinton who put the hammer to labor, every time we sign a new "trade" (meaning exporting jobs) agreement. I will remind the readers once again... union numbers have indeed declined, much of it due to free trade that the internationalist liberal icons so enthusiastically endorse. Factory jobs pay better, and free trade sends them to low wage countries. And if you think the CEO to worker pay gap is bad here, you might consider what it is when the same CEO's are paying their workers a dollar an hour. Somehow, that never seems to enter into the equation. I wonder why? But, hey, keep beating that free trade drum, and talk about avoiding protectionism. Our movement gets stronger every day... and the more jobs your leader sends out of this country, the more votes we will get. Know what the differnece between an internationalist conservative and an internationalist liberal is? One says tough, deal with it, and sends your job overseas. One says we care, we understand, and sends your job overseas. And then expects union members to vote for him. -- posted by not_him_again
