» MsPersephone - A Hearty Welcome

. . . to you, Thomas!

Your topic's title, The Urban Naturalist, drew my attention right away. I live in an "oasis" of cottonwood trees, oleanders, bougainvilla, jacaranda, and eucalyptus in Tempe, Arizona. Herons, ducks, quail, hummingbirds, and even roadrunners make their homes here. I love living here in this "oasis." And I enjoy reading articles written by other urban dwellers who love nature.

Your article is poetic and evokes a great love for our Mother Earth. I want to read more of your writing, so have subscribed to your topic.

In response to message posted by Aviella:

Thanks for your congratulations. I look forward to visiting your site.

My next article will be some personal meditations about crows in my neighborhood. I thought that I would mention it since you are into birding.

Sincerely,
Tom Martin

In response to message posted by Sunbear:

Not only am I into birds, but I'm into crows. Crows, ravens, and many other members of the Corvid family are extremely intelligent -- moreso than almost any other bird. They figure prominently in Native American mythology and spirituality. Most of them mate for life. All in all, I think there's a lot there to respect!! I look forward to your article.
