Hi Lynda,

Interesting article. Did not realize there were so many of them in the UK.

The way things are going, we may all need those bunkers. . .

A great read Lynda - fascinating and revealing. I had no idea of the vast extent of all this - obviously I was earmarked to be fried to a frazzle
with the rest of the proles. I do remember universal derision during Mrs Thatcher's time I think, when a Civil Defence pamphlet came out called 'How to survive a nuclear explosion' or somesuch, giving obviously ludicrous advice like 'shut your eyes to avoid blindness from the flash'!!

Tom, the place is full of bunkers and military sites, it may be a small island but we know how to pack 'em in! Hope we never need them .......
