» anitastratos - Linlithgow castle Great article, Lynda! This is a good way for me to "visit" the many places, like medieval castles, that I may never get to see. I hate to hear about the destruction that's been done over the centuries to so many of these places, but that's all part of history too. I look forward to visiting your site again.-- posted by anitastratos » Sunbear - Mary Queen of Scots, etc. Hi Lynda,Like all Americans someone in the family claims a royal ancestor. A great uncle of mine (surname James) claimed we were descended from Mary and the James. I always took this with a grain of salt, but am still interested in her and the epoch. Thanks for writing such an informative article. My charming English history lessons continue! Sincerely, -- posted by Sunbear » Lynda04 - Re: Mary Queen of Scots, etc. In response to message posted by Sunbear:Thanks Tom You never know, you could well be connected in some way to Mary! Chances are her descendants are well documented through the years, so if you were to put in a bit of research you may discover something surprising :-) If you are connected, it is worth doing a story! -- posted by Lynda04 » Fab68 - Mary Queen Of Scots decendant Hello. My maiden name is Stewart. I know my family ancestors came from scotland, england and ireland. There have always been rumors that we are decendants of Mary Queen of Scots and I was wanting any helpful information on how I can obtain the lineage of her where I may trace my family history. I am from the States and would like to know as much as possible. Any information will be appreciated. Please email me at sponge68@bellsouth.netPlease put the words "mary queen of scots" in the subject line. I recieve much spam and junk mail and if the addy is not familiar I usually delete it without looking. This way it will stand out as any information that may be helpful. Thank you ~FabulousFreakOfNature~ -- posted by Fab68
