» Lynne_Remick - Long Live the Tudor Column!!!
Katie, you are so wonderful to pitch in and keepI too am doing my part for this column. Visitors
should return and look for my article on
Josephine Tey's The Daughter of Time, which
deals with the history of Richard III and the
Princes in the Tower. What is interesting about
this story, besides the murder, is that most
of what we do know about the act, was written
down in the Tudor times, AFTER Richard III
died. Hmmmmm. Read my review of "Daughter,"
then read th book to find out exactly why.
Some very interesting theories, I tell you!

» Jaynee - Tudor England
Some recommended books on Tudor England are by Carolly Erickson - I'm a big fan of her books. I recently read her bios of Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Elizabeth I and her half sister Mary. I'm about to start reading her book on Catherine the Great, and would be interested in finding her Queen Victoria book, which is currently out of print. If you enjoy long detailed biographies - then definitely read Erickson's accounts of Tudor England - she doesn't write revisionist history, and tells a great story.
