» gmapatX10 - Extended Family

Jean, You never cease to amaze and impress me. The concept of this article is beautiful. And it saddens me that my youngest son, my troubled teen, did not have the benefit of his father or his grandfathers to teach him and propel him. It is such an important part of life. I was fortunate that my grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts & uncles & cousins all lived in the same small community. We shared holidays, birthdays, special events together and I'll always remember those times. Todays generation does not always have that luxury. Too often young families have to move away from their extended family to make a living, thus losing out on that important component of thier own children's growing up years. Thank you for printing this article for us. And my deepest condolences to you and your husband and your sons, for the loss of that wonderful, loving, accepting & handy man. He had all the tools for living a good life and he knew how to share them.

Pat
