» NJpalmguy - Re: Do you successfully grow hardy palms, and where? Hello all. I'm a southern NJ palm fancier. I've got one palm that is my pride and joy. 6' tall and getting ready to bloom for the second year in a row. It typically gets down to 5 degrees as a minimum temperature. Winters are long and cold. This year was no exception. Besides a little damage from the weight of the snow all is well.-- posted by NJpalmguy » Henk12 - Re: Do you successfully grow hardy palms, and where? In response to message posted by wisgrdnr:I grow palms in western part of Europe (SE part of Holland in fact) and find no problems growing Trachycarpus species here. In fact, in the neighborhood there are some very nice species in gardens. -- posted by Henk12
