Hi Micanou,

You will hear alot of crap from people who have read alot of books saying the same thing about these fish, that they need to be in large tanks.
Well the truth is its probably more desirable to put them in a large tank but you can get away with putting them in a small one. Fish will grow to the size of their tanks, so you may be stunting their growth a little bit but if you don't have a budget for a big tank it doesnt mean you can't get the fish you want! a 10 gallon tank would be fine, just remember they do swim on the bottom more than anything so you would want it to be fairly wide to keep them happy.
