» AlanRaisman - video cameras???

In response to video cameras??? posted by pinkpalmtree6:

I was thinking about taking a video camera on my program, but I am glad I didn't. Although a video would be a great reminder of one's trip, I did not want to live my trip through the eyes of a video camera. I was in that location for one time, and I wanted to experience it for what it was. Because of that, I took a lot of pictures. I took 2,408 pictures on my last trip to France, Italy, and Greece. I hope this helps!

» pinkpalmtree6 - thanks

I just wanted to say a quick thank you to Alan and everyone else that is on this site. I'm sooo excited for my trip and have had a lot of questions and this site and all of you have really helped me out. Yesterday, I had a snow day and I sat and read all the postings from the very beginning =)I haven't even been on my first trip yet...but already I'm looking at trips for next year. People to People is truly an amazing program

Thank you very much! That is very thoughtful. I am glad that you are excited about your trip and for future trips. Ah, you're making me remember the old days and how much I miss it! Have a great trip! Alumni can pick any program they wish to travel on. I highly recommend trips to Africa or Asia. I always wanted to travel on People to People programs to places where my family wouldn't take me.

Hi Alyssa,

Thanks for the personal message. I traveled with leaders from Connecticut for three years in a row actually. My main leader was Adele Josovitz. I had her three years in a row, and I was a junior leader with her twice. I love Connecticut!

» AlanRaisman - What do you wish you would have known about People to People?

Hi everyone,

I am doing a project for my college about People to People. I was hoping that you all could be a part of it! You are mainly students and leaders traveling this summer, and we all make up the history of People to People. As alumni, we are what will determine People to People's next fifty years.

For my project, I will be making a website for anyone interested in People to People and who do not know about the program. This website will be geared for people of any age, but I thought you would be a great first step.

I was wondering, before you started with People to People, was there anything you wish you would have known about the program? Is there anything you still wish you knew? This can relate to Ambassador Programs or People to People International. I can't wait to see your responses. The more the better! People to People is about just that, people. You have the opportunity to help make this website I'm making a great resource for anyone interested in People to People whether it be traveling abroad or getting involved in their local neighborhood.

I hope to hear you soon! Thanks!!!

Regards,

Alan Raisman

I'm actually not traveling with the ct delegation, their trip was going to Australia and I really wanted to go to Europe so I'm traveling with a group out of MA. I'm glad you like CT, lol. I actually find it kind of boring...not much to do and i hate the cold!! lol, but other than that life in CT is pretty good. Did you know a girl named Noheli who went on the european odyssey with you last year?

No I'm sorry, but I do not. There was more than one delegation on the trip, so she may not have been a part of my delegation.
