This is most encouraging news for the growing number of tourists with accessibility problems. Let us hope that this movement towards accessibility focus in hotel and tourist amenity design takes off in with an ever increasing speed.

I was most interested to read that such moves are being made in Crete. Greece has until now lagged very far behind in its focus on facilities for disabled visitors. Perhaps the Athens Olympics have proved a useful impetus in the right direction.
