All delegations are different. This is just a meeting for the trip. You are already accepted. You can wear whatever you wish. Have fun at the party!

» dragen1992 - People to People

People to People was one of the best things for me. I went to England, Ireland, and Wales last year. The homestay was not of what I liked. I was invited to the Russia and Germany, but I don't think I would like to go. Because the different language and I heard that Russians don't bath that much and that most hotels don't have showers. And anyways it was a dream for me to go to Ireland since I was in the 4th grade. That is the reasons my parents let me go. Should I go to this trip to Russia and Germany? They sent me an email saying it was my last chance to go for late interviews.

Nervousness and How To Overcome It:

I was super nervous before my interview but guess what? I overcame it and look at me now! I made it! When you first get there, make sure to watch a video (if they have one) and to try and talk to the people doing the group interview. They'll be your friends. I made two new friends (Jasmine and Anya! They're so awesome!). They went through the exact same process you did, so you can share your secrets.
And to overcome it, you need to think of the qualieties that they'll be looking for. Listening?
Leadership?
Try and show them that you possess these qualities and you'll be more likely to make it (at least, that's what I think).

Outfit:

I wore a miniskirt with leggings, a long sleeve brown shirt, a gold necklace, and tennis shoes. One of my friends wore jeans and a shirt. Another one (this one's a boy) wore a plaid shirt and khakis. It depends on how professional you want to look. A girl in the interview before me wore a skirt and a embrodiered shirt with high heels!

I hope this soothes your nerves about your interview. Anything I didn't cover? Ask me!

think about this. This trip costs around $5,000. thats a lot, espeshally if you arent particularly interested in THIS program. Maybe you could travel with anotehr delegationto someplace that interests you more. Dont judge going or not based on what youve heard, and espeshally on something as small as the shower. You've already been to the place you wanted to; youve complteted your goal. you donthave to do another one if u dont want. hope i helped..
