In response to I MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! posted by AlanRaisman:

Thanks. I have so much fundraising to do. But if 10 companies donate $200, plus my $1500 (hopefully) of Christmas cards, and $149.50 of Current orders, I get a grand total of...

2000
+ 1500
+ 149.50
_________
3649.50

I'll only need $361 more dollars!

If you put all that in the bank, then by January you might gain a decent amount of interested by June. Great planning!

As I re-read that message...

I'm asking a lot for 10 companies to donate $200. $200 is a lot of money.

I don't think I'm going to get 10 companies anyway.

I think I have to earn a lot more than $300.

Why can't the program cost less (I know the answer to this one)?

I feel pressured!

You'll be fine Miranda. Everyone fundraises, and everyone finds a way. Did you see the website that the students posted about sponsorships? He raised $3,000. It is possible. Don't stress over it.

Can you tell more about the Christmas cards? Are you making them and taking orders? My son is going on the Paris to Casablanca trip and is trying to raise money, too.r

In response to Aussie Bound--I made it posted by Mom2006:

No, I'm not making Christmas cards.

Basic Idea...

People deliver their Christmas cards to me with addresses, stamps and seals (if they have them (stamps AND seals)). I'll address the cards for them, and stamp, and put them in envelopes, and mail them.

Prices...

1-25 Cards ~ $10
25-50 Cards ~ $20
50+ Cards ~ $0.40 per card.
Rush Processing ~ $10
Hand Addressing ~ $2 per 25 cards
Stickers (ours) ~ $2 per 25 cards
Postage (ours) ~ $2 handling + cost of postage

If the average order is $15...

20 orders x $15 = $300
50 orders x $15 = $750
100 orders x $15= $1500
