» BobMansur - Finding courses When it comes to finding courses, MonsterLearning appears to be a very powerful search tool, particularly because of the ability it gives the user to specify what she/he is seeking and because of the number of sources the engine accesses.Conversely, my limited effort in using MonsterLearning demonstrated that defining it as a search engine to find available courses is more accurate than the definition in the article's first paragraph, "mainly a search engine for finding online and offline learning products and services marketed by third party providers". Misunderstanding the site's purpose led me to start searching for information it certainly wouldn't contain. I do recommend this site as a course searching tool. -- posted by BobMansur » achoden - Re: Finding courses In response to message posted by BobMansur:Thanks for your feedback, Bob. I'm sorry to find out that the description of the site in my article caused you to look for information that wouldn't be there. What type of information were you looking for? There's a lot to know about choosing the right distance learning or online university. As we discussed in our four-part Online Learning Roundtable, this is an old model that's coming back into use but via the Internet instead of mail. The four distance learning representatives we had for that roundtable shed some interesting light on this as well as great information about things to look for in the courses and institution you choose. -- posted by vivavoce
