Huloo. Yes I do indeed know of el book-o (excuse the cheesy spanglish) to teach you elvish. The Languages of Tolkien's Middle-earth by Ruth S. Noel. Loevely book really. Tells about the elvish languages, runes, the rhovannion languages, the rohirrim languages, the language of hobbits. Lots of good stuff.dictionaries etc. Great begginer guide to elvish. Give it a go.~ i ara undomiel

heh, no. Quenya and Sindarin are different elvish languages, each with a different way to write them (and then even more different ways to write them if you consider all the modes)

Sindarin is basically the everyday speach of the elves, while Quenya is 'ancient elvish', It's kindof the elvish equivilant of latin. Quenya is mostly found on ancient inscriptions in the books and movies.

The only problem with that is that the book is as old as my grandma. (I'm young)Its really outdated. I've been learning elvish (Sindarin) from Council of Elrond (the website)and at one point in time I had printed out the workbook thing. I think I still have it around here somewhere...

You realize that that isn't true elvish (Tolkien elvish that is) Its just some mixed blah stuff.
