» abbi_lane - Hedda and psychoanalysis

hi,
i really need some help here, i have to do a psychoanalysis of the play and i'm in way too deep. i'm approaching it from a few different angles, but most of my direction is coming from Nigel Hand's essay on psychoanalysis and the space of the play. however most of the terminology is over my head... ok, so i get Freudian (!!) psychocology, but kleinian??????
any ideas welcomed gladly! e-mail me at abbi_lane@hotmail.com

In response to message posted by literaryjunkie:

Henry James's A Portrait of a lady, and Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South will give you a good comparison if you are writing about women and independance.
