I suspect I'm not supposed to advertise here for games. But in this case, I think it's warranted. Online Gaming Resource, since the tragedy yesterday at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, has been a wonderful meeting place for players looking for a sense of community.

If you're like me, you probably felt the need to just *be* with someone, either physically or figuratively, after so many hours of watching the news. Even if you just want to connect through the keyboard, it can be enormously comforting to know that others are out there, feeling the same way you do, and ready to offer the proverbial shoulder or a simple virtual hug.

Online Gaming Resource has also set up two channels as well as a bulletin board, specifically on the subject of the tragedy. The channels are 'NEWS' and 'ConspiracyT' respectively -- the first is for fact-sharing, and the second is for speculation and theory. To join, simply type 'addcom new=NEWS' or 'addcom con=ConspiracyT' once you connect.

The bulletin board is #19, and you can read it by typing '+bbread 19' and then '+bbread 19/#' for specific posts. There have been some very moving and heartfelt messages, along with posts about how/where to donate blood, find out information, and so on.
