Another great site to get the most up to date MUDs is mudmagic. http://www.mudmagic.com/There is a java-client that you can use with any standard web browser that supports java. You'll see a link that is flickering: PLAY NOW, and will connect you to any of 400+ MUDs.
There's discussions, articles, polls, code downloads for mud programmers, links, and mud hosting for those that want to make their own mud or are looking to host their mud on a stable 24/7 connection to the internet.
It's a portal site much like Suite101.
