» Maureen Fleury - Essential Skills

Hi Kelley:
I was very pleased last year to see that my Grade 8 son had to do a resume. I don't know if his school used any of your excellent methods, if not, I sure wish they would. I had to help him type it up on our home computer so I only saw the finished product.

Where I live in Canada, they start the students with a weekly course called CAPP (Career and Personal Planing). It is interesting what is taught in CAPP. My son had to acquire a phoney career and out of that he had to do a budget. They also help students with self-esteem and discuss social issues.

I wish they had these courses when I was in school. I hope my sons are better prepared for life after graduation than I was.

Kelley, I've been reading all your articles and they just a wealth of information for educators. I'm very impressed with your imagination and presentation.

Your site is a definite "must see" for educators.

Keep up the good work!
