AOL Email - Beginner Lessons: email for school children

I am a computer teacher of 11 & 12 year olds in Sydney, Australia. I am wanting to set up email accounts for the 120 children I teach & would like your opinion on the type to set up for them. I have looked at Yahoo in Aus. though they need to be 18, hotmail they can use as there is no personal information asked for. I also read the article on AOL for kids, & thought that this could be quite good because of the restrictions.
Could you please help me???
