» Red - delightful...

Allyso,

Thank you so much for inviting me on this ramble. I do so love the mill race. We have an old one not far from here. I haven't been there in a while and today is not a good day to go as there is about 3 inches of snow on the ground. However, when spring comes I think I will go and have a look and see how that mill race has changed.

I love willows and always have since I was a child. My brother and I used to go fishing in the creek and there were lots of willows there. We would sit in the shade beneath the sheltering boughs and catch a few catfish. What a grand time we had.

Brandon also loves willows. They are his second favorite tree after Blue Spruce.

Take care, Allyso. I certainly enjoyed the lovely day and walking with you and Bic. He sure does love chasing those opposums, doesn't he?

» jerrib - I yearn for summer

when I read this. We have not had much but rain and no sunshine this winter. Thanks for the ray of sunshine, Ally.

» Allyso - Summer

Hello! It's funny to think of the northern Suite members having winter while we have summer. I suppose the tropics blur the boundaries between the seasons.

It really is warm here now.

Ally.

» MaggieM - Re: Summer

I enjoyed ramling with you and Bic, Ally, and since we will actually be in Tassie in two weeks and a day, the thought of summer is glorious! Willows are a favorite of mine, here in Canada they turn yellow when spring is just aboud the corner. I always look for that after a long, cold snowy winter. However, we have not had much of the cold and snow to date, the strangest, warmest winter I can remember, and I can't say that I am overjoyed for my plants that would prefer a blanket of insulation. A nice walk, thanks again!
