» desertblue - Nooooooo!

Well, that was Luke right there in the subject heading, just finding out that Vader is no longer running this website...I mean, that Suite101 will no longer be his father...er, um, yeah. Oaky. Waaaa! Please keep writing! It's hard to find intellectual discourse on these kinds of subjects.

Ya know, I was hoping this title refered to the early retirement of jedi masters like Qui-Gon and Obi-won...people who, unlike Yoda and even Anakin at the end, did not choose their time to let go. Although Obi-won sorta chose an early retirement when he let Darth "strike him down"....hey! How about one more article about THAT? That sounds archetypically right up your alley....death, the force, letting go, giving up the ghost ~

Well, I'm very sorry and disappointed to read this, though of course I wish you the best in whatever you go on to do. But the SW online fandom -- which, in my opinion, has suffered a distressing and continual decline over the last few years -- has truly lost something today. I have enjoyed all of your essays thoroughly and found them intelligent and insightful. Here's to hoping you'll return to them at some point in the future. Thanks again for your writings.

» Dedalus47 - Well thank both of you

I have really enjoyed this, no doubt, but I just have several things pulling on me right now, and the whole Star Wars analysis is going on the back burner. But like I said, I'm sure it'll be picked up again, one way or the other.

And anyway, now that the Star Wars section is freed up again, any of the readers are at liberty to get in touch with Suite101 and take it for another spin.

Cheers

*Sniff!* I'm going to miss those essays!

Best of luck and don't stay away from SW for too long!

It truly has been a memorable experience reading these articles over the last 9 months. Each article was brilliantly written, but most of all, they all made me learn a lot about myself. Paul McDonald, thank you for the memories......hopefully you'll return some time in the near future

Yes, I actually started appreciating the prequels because of these articles. Thanks for being the one voice in favor of them - it gives me hope that Lucas does indeed know what he's doing, and the last movie will tie it all together.
