I have been having the discussion on the becoming one with the universe idea on another discussion forum I am on. While they become one with the force, they retain their individuality as long as that force or presence is needed to carry out its mission, thus explaining "ghosts".

Unfinished business. Just because Obi Wan was struck down does not mean that his mission, which was his destiny which was guided by the force, was over. It only meant that he transcended this physical matter form and became part of the larger universal form. This is espoused in many religions not just Eastern ones.

Thank you. I would say that is sort of the Hamlet interpretation. I haven't quite said all I'm going to say about this, but I do think that is as solid an interpretation as any of this can be.

I never thought of it as a Hamlet sort of definition, but I do think you are right. I haven't brushed up on my Hamlet in a while, but he did avenge his Father after finding out about the unfinished business.
