» lissa26 - Ya'll Must of Forgot

The only thing I disagree with in your article was that Roy Jones Jr is not as pretty as Oscar...he's prettier. Let his critics say what they want, they only make RJ come out and whup more ass. It wasn't enough for him to go up in weight and beat everyone. It wasn't enough to give him a loss by disqualification when they could've just taken a point away from him that round. That's ok, because I'm enjoying the legacy he's leaving even if his critics don't have the sense to do it.

» attiimterrell - He is just great

I saw him only once on tv and never again as I don't follow boxing too much but I remembered that guy. I had hard time remembering Lennox or Holyfield but this guy I noticed right away and I think he has that something special. One of very few that catch your eye in a second and you never forget. That is all I wanted to say

» NYCScribe - Jones vs. Ruiz is on

Roy Jones Jr. will make the jump to the heavyweight ranks, fighting WBA champion John Ruiz on March 1 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas (HBO PPV), according to a report in USA Today. Should be an interesting fight, and all those skeptics who have been criticizing Jones for cruising through the latter part of his career by taking easy fights have been silenced for the time being. Has Roy bitten off more than he can chew, or will he expand the dimensions of his legacy? If all goes without a hitch, we'll find out soon enough.

» NYCScribe - Stick a fork in him?

I won't go so far as to say that the legacy carved out by Roy Jones Jr. was indeed too good to be true. At his peak, he was as untouchable as they come. I'll simply state that after two consecutive knockout losses, it appears that the expiration date on Roy's invincibility has been reached.
