Terrell Who? It's a sad situation when one person thinks he's the game of football. The eagles don't need Owens to lose; they can do that easily enough without him and his busted ankle.
IF Owens manages to stumble out onto the field, all drugged up for the occasion, the Brady Bunch will eat him for lunch, and spit him out like the showboat that he is…

Perhaps Terrell Owens is more trouble than he's worth, even if he's worth a trip to the Super Bowl. Before this season even began, Owens griped about his contract, sniped at his quarterback, and feuded with his coaches. He has now upgraded the level of agitation he’s causing in Philadelphia by fighting a teammate and suggesting another quarterback would make the team a lot better. On top of this, he threw a fit when his 100th career touchdown reception wasn't properly acknowledged on the stadium's video screen. Owens' efforts to antagonize have earned him his second suspension of the year and, most likely, his job with the Eagles. This suspension will probably stick because Donovan McNabb apparently has finally reached the end of his impressive patience. The quarterback reportedly stood up before his teammates a few days ago and told them they either followed him or they followed Owens. The question now isn't whether Owens is leaving, but precisley when his departure date will be, and what team will be the next to take a gamble on his great talent and even greater ability to be a destructive force in the locker room of his own team.-- posted by NYCScribe

Now that Terrell Owens has cut himself a huge slice of humble pie and finally apologized (sincerely?) to the Eagles organization, fans, and to Donovan McNabb, I am left more perplexed than ever about the guy. The way he has been acting ever since the Eagles refused to renegotiate his contract (his torment of McNabb goes back even further), it seemed he was doing everything he could to guarantee the Eagles would get fed up with his antics and boot him from the team. When they told him last week that he need only apologize to be pardoned by them, he refused. Yet now that he has received what appeared to have been his wishes, being kicked off the team, he's suddenly contrite and begging along with his take no prisoners agent to be let back on the team. I really don't get this guy. There is no questioning his talent. And after he defied the odds to play in last season's Super Bowl, it's hard to question his grit and determination either. But exactly what the heck is going on in T.O.'s head?!?! Doesn't he realize his job is to torment and give headaches to the opposition, not his own team?-- posted by NYCScribe

There is a place in our heads, one that is more prominent in T.O.’s head, where resides a certain component known as ‘ego.’ Owens’ has expanded to the point that it appears to have pushed out another of the usual components of the head—that known as common sense.
