Have you been noticing the declining list of factory cars in the American Le Mans Series? What do you think about this? I personally like the idea of the factory cars, it shows the world the very best that each factory can produce. I'll be sad to see the Panoz go private, since I've loved the simple paint schemes that I fell in love with over the years. But private is better than none at all. Much better!

I see this privatizing as a step in the right direction. Sure, with the vast financial assets of a corporate structure the factory teams had all of the best. A private team didn’t stand a chance against them; they didn’t have the resources or access to the advanced technologies that the factories did. If all of the teams end up being private racing entities, then the playing field will be fair for all of the racers involved. This will produce better racing in the future
