Hi Eibhlin!

I'm sitting here looking at your Suite card that
you tucked into my Christmas card; it says, "Join
me"....ha, ha! I'm a bit slow doing so, but, here
I have finally come to read one of your articles.
I've found it to be very interesting and will be
back to your site....for I have a natural interest
in this area. I was relieved to read that ghosts
are not evil....I have many things I could share
with you...probably most was kinetic energy...but
exciting nontheless....I will share a few things
later. I'm so longwinded....just to get to the point that I really like your site!

Hi, And thanks for your post. I'm glad you mentioned that ghosts are not evil, because that's something I need to stress, repeatedly. Scary ghosts may sell movie tickets and make great plot elements for paranormal television shows, but most ghosts are "just folks," without the convenience (or inconvenience? *grin*) of physical bodies.

Many ghosts remain in a location for very sensible reasons, such as to watch over their descendants.

Others remain for reasons that probably make sense to them, but seem a little nutty to us. For example, I once encountered a spirit who was still guarding a Bible that had been hidden in a wall... but the wall and the Bible had been removed, over a century earlier.

Then again, that may have been a residual energy "haunting." Sometimes, it's difficult to tell.

Most ghosts--if they are, in fact, spiritual beings and not just lingering energy--are well-meaning and even helpful.

I've encountered frustrated, angry ghosts and territorial ghosts, but never a ghost that I'd describe as "evil," or even mildly malicious. In about 40 years of dealing with ghosts across the US and in five countries, that's probably a pretty good representation of what's out there. In other words, there aren't a whole lot of evil ghosts out there, if any.

I'm glad you enjoyed my article, and I enjoyed your Christmas card as well. I'll be cruising through your articles too.
