» Tina_Coruth - Great advice, Mary!

Great advice, Mary! My children are grown now, but one of them did have a learning disability. I wish I had this article back then -- I would have printed it and posted it to the refrigerator. As it was, we got very lucky with a teacher who recognized there was a disability and helped us through the process. The folks in charge were a bit difficult to deal with and this teacher acted as an advocate. I would urge other parents to heed your advice -- if they are feeling at all overwhelmed, bullied, talk down to, or just lost, they must have an advocate!
This is a great article!
