Thanks for the encouraging words! You know, I have never had the country-fried steak at Cracker Barrel. I've eaten there a few times but it has been awhile. What's it like, exactly?

I actually fixed what we call "chicken-fried steak" for supper last night. Very easy. Tenderized, round steak dredged in flour and battered in an egg and evap. milk mixture and fried up in a skillet of hot oil. Served with gravy, of course! :-) You could season up your flour with black pepper, paprika, or some other spice that suits your fancy, if you like.

Glad you visited!
