I live right outside of Cullman! I just discovered your topic -- congrats on being featured in the Travel section!! -- and am thrilled to see articles about our beautiful state of Alabama. I'm subscribing. smile

This is too cool. I'm looking forward to more of your excellent articles.

» Red - sounds like fun...

Martine,

The festivals sound like fun. We have Octoberfest about an hour's drive from here but I have never attended. Not something I will be able to do this year, but I will keep it in mind for next.

Glad Anne was able to find you through the Travel Center. Be sure to check it out and subscribe so that you will keep up on all the news. This month I have included a lot of tips and websites for autumn on the calendar. Next week has websites for Bed & Breakfasts that have fantastic opportunities for autumn foliage viewing.

This coming Monday is Canadian Thanksgiving. Lots of fall fairs going on around southern Ontario.

I will be back to visit soon. Keep up the good work.

We have some great festivities here, too. Oysterfests, leaf festivals, etc. I love this time of year when it's not pouring down rain in our neck of the woods.

Sounds like everyone tries to take advantage of the last hurrah of good weather, Jerri.

I think we could hit three or four really great events every weekend in October without driving more than an hour or so. The whole month is usually warm here, with the nights beginning to get a little crisp. By the end of the month, the leaves are spectacular!

The only thing that keeps October from being my favorite month is the knowledge that chilly November is just around the corner. Brrrr.
