Your article about your list of herbs and the dream you had was very interesting. I agree that it makes sense to 'ask' the plant's permission before attempting to use it for any function we may have in mind.

In indigineous lore the peoples of old always asked and thanked/ offered something in exchange for taking any part of wild plants they found and used. Nature links all its components in circles, so it would be in keeping that the plants' many uses be accessed through a process of giving something in exchange for taking something from it. What you were shown in your dream was of immense validity. Native stories/facts say that the healing will be increased if the plant has been asked for its permission to be used to heal.

I speak to plants as I do to people. It's always to my advantage to be on good terms with them!

As an aside, would you consider sharing your list of 16 herbs that you've finally decided on? Making such a list for myself is something that I feel would be so helpful to me.
