» Red - past lives... I am undecided if I believe in reincarnation. I know that many times I have visited places and felt that I'd been there before. One such experience took place in St. Stephen's, New Brunswick. As we pulled onto the main street, I knew exactly where the Ganong chocolate factory was. I had never really heard of Ganong's before, but I pointed to a side street and told my companion, "That street is where the Ganong chocolate factory is." I surprised even myself.I have also seen houses that I felt I knew intimately - where each room was located etc. I believe firmly in God and was raised in a strict Penecostal household. My entire upbringing tells me that reincarnation is not possible, but still, there is no scientific explanation for the experiences I've had. Enjoyed your article and thanks so much for sharing. -- posted by Red » RoxianneM - Re: Wow! In response to Wow! posted by jerrib:It can be gratifying, but it can also be terrifying. I've talked with a couple of people who inadvertently visited places where they'd had traumatic experiences. If you suddenly feel frightened or anxious & don't know why, that can be a very unsettling experience. However, I do feel that we are often drawn to certain areas because of past connections there. For instance, I wanted to visit Orkney from the time I was a child. I can remember saying at age 9 or 10 that I wanted to go there, even though I wasn't really sure where Orkney was. -- posted by RoxianneM » RoxianneM - Re: past lives... In response to past lives... posted by Red:Quite often, when people ask about how the concept of reincarnation fits in with their Christian beliefs, I refer them to Brian Weiss, MD. The FAQs on his Web site address this issue. Scroll down to the topic "Where can I find information about Christianity and reincarnation?" for a list of books. He also address this issue in his book Mirrors of Time, which includes a CD with a regression meditation. -- posted by RoxianneM
