The Old R&B/SOUL Music like The Temprees(Love Maze) The Temptations, The Chi-lites, and others
are true classic soul, but in my opinion, the real Soul Music comes from the "i've never heard of them" soul groups. Groups like the "philly-based" group THE KALIEDOSCOPE. The Motown artist
called THE COURTSHIP. The "JANUS" recording group
known as THE IMAGE, AND THE SMOOTH HARMONY OF THE
70'S SOUL GROUP KNOWN AS "LOVE." To hear these and many more like them would be heavenly, unfortunitely, it is nearly impossible to find them anywhere. Though I must say, I do possess some of this "great" talent in my collection, but there are so many more out there that not even i can find, like "THE PLAYERS ASSOCIATION (MOON IN PISCES)" These groups represent the "real soul music" that was lost. I hope it is found someday.

I think its valid that a lot of really good music comes from unheralded or undermarketed artists. And unfortunately, I think there will continue to be a lot of untapped talent out there as labels continue on their quest for the 15 minute of fame artists.
