It's just that due time is too far away. # I also vote for mining the asteroid belt. I'm convinced that there are many commercial ventures in the solar system that the next century visionaries will try to exploit. In Moonbase III, I explore building oxygen generation plants on the moon so that fairly conventional liquid rockets could use our own satellite as a refueling point. It really was a thought-provoking read--but I find all his books thought-provoking.
