» kfcaudell - Soapmaking

I have been making soap myself for several years, for fun (and a little money now and then). I have my own process that I like to follow but it's fun to read how others do it. I have learned a few new tricks that way! The stick blender is a lifesaver... I had one that was just sitting in the cabinet. (See, don't throw anything away because you never know when you might need it!)

I think this is a great article with easy-to-follow information. I encourage everyone who hasn't tried this craft to give it a go.

Cheers----

» TreasuresPlanted - Stick Blender?

I feel silly asking this, but there must be at least one other person who wants to know: What is a stick blender? I have something I just call a blender, but I'm assuming that's not it. smile Thanks!

In response to message posted by TreasuresPlanted:

Sorry. A stick blender is a small, hand-held blender made for mixing drinks like milkshakes. You can buy one at a kitchen supply store or from a soap supply website like the ones I have listed on my links. You don't need a stick blender, but it really speeds up the process.
