» Gingerawoman - Everything I know about parenting I learnt from TV

Hi, I loved this article. I really like your writing style and think this is a great topic.
My son used to scream and struggle whenever I changed a dirty nappy. Now I play videos for every nappy change. He is crazy about the Teletubbies and I think this is one of the few programmes that someone who has just turned 2 can understand.
He does not talk that much yet but he has learnt the words cloud, bag, byebye, Lala, Poe, harp, and one from the Teletubbies! I don't know why I couldn't teach him "bye bye" but the tubbies did.
That repitition really teaches a 2 year old. Other programmes go to fast and don't repeat so much making them more tolerable to the parent but less educational for the child.
