I really enjoyed the article. I am new to suite 101, so far I am quite impressed. I am owned by a 3 year old Yorkhire Terrier. Another thing I have found when taking her places is that many small dogs get very stressed from loud noises. Also, many small dogs are prone to hypoglycemia. This can happen very rapidly in hot weather. Are Poms prome to this problem?

Sally,
Thanks for writing- Actually, I am finding that just about all of the small breeds have the same problems but to different degrees- For instance, all are subject to sudden death from heat stroke but pugs and laso's are at extreme risk due to the
short muzzle. Poms, chi's, pap's are all sentive to hypoglycemia, all can be nervous with sirens, thunder, like your dog. I'll be writing about your breed in late June/early July- Hope you'll stop back! Lyndee
