» Red - great article...

Sandy,

This is a great article. I imagine that as soon as you get back home you will be over run with work. The tourists will be waiting to buy your goods and I wish you a great year.

I hope you get enough rain that the salmon can make it back up for spawning. It would be a tragedy if they couldn't. Global warming is wrecking havoc with our world and it is the fault of mankind. Be sure to let us know how this works out.

Take care. I wish you a safe journey home and look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Mary,

Thanks for the compliments. smile I agree that "we" could have done more to prevent global warming, but I also think that it's part of a cycle Earth goes through every so many thousands of years. We hurried the process along, of course. I'm thinking our summer will be rather dry because the winter has been dryer than normal, although cold.

They said it might snow here in IL while I'm here, and I almost cried. smile Just kidding, but you can imagine, Alaska girl gets out and it snows where she goes... LOL! The first few days were in the 80's and then wham - cold snap! smile

Take care, Mary, talk to you soon, Friend!

Sandy,

We had very unseasonable weather here last week. We set records. It was in the 90's and low 80's. Last night we had snow and today it is 35. It is a big difference, I know. Glad you could get those few days of warmth and sunshine. Now it's back to normal for this time of year.

Have a terrific week and a safe trip home. I keep you in my prayers.

» Fort_Spunky - Ah, spring!

Hi Sandy,

I enjoyed your article very much. Your photos are great--especially the lead photo. Wow, is your place beautiful!

I liked the story associated with the Chief Kayan Burial Pole. Guess I wouldn't want to risk that money exchange. It would probably be leaving, which is what it seems to do anyway. lol

Hope you're having a good time while you're away and come home rested.

Linda

Hi Sandy,

Glad that Spring has arrived. Can see that everyone must feel like celebrating the end of the long, cold winter.

Enjoyed your article and the great pics too.
