I am new to this website but have been suffering from psoriasis for about six yeard. I was diagnosed at 20 years old. I have used topical ointments and over the counter creams to help battle this disease, but have recently fallen into the group of uninsured and am no longer able to afford my medications. My psoriasis has since then flaired-up and I am using over the counter meds PSORIASIN (coal tar) and DERMAREST (salysilic? acid)-- posted by itchynscratchy

I have had psoriasis for about 20 months now. it started just after my daughter was born. At first I didn't know what it was after about 6 months I finally went to the doctor. All she was able to do was say she was sorry and prescribe Clobetasol. I thought great I'll use this ointment and it will be gone. I had no idea what having this skin condition meant.-- posted by ladyrasha

If you are still receiving responses to your message, I would love to have the home remedy for psoriasis. My son has been suffering for the past 2 years and his mainly is on his feet. It makes it extremely difficult for him to wear shoes in the summer, but that is a must at work! The creams work ok as long as we can afford to get them filled. We are self employed and do not have insurance. Thanks!-- posted by okieuser
