I am new to this website but have been suffering from psoriasis for about six yeard. I was diagnosed at 20 years old. I have used topical ointments and over the counter creams to help battle this disease, but have recently fallen into the group of uninsured and am no longer able to afford my medications. My psoriasis has since then flaired-up and I am using over the counter meds PSORIASIN (coal tar) and DERMAREST (salysilic? acid)
I am very interested in also trying homeremedies that may help reduce the effects of this disease. Please send me the remedy you recommend.
I am very excited to now be involved in a discussion group with other sufferers. It has been a long time since I have discussed my problem with anyone other than my family.
Thank you for your help.

My daughter is 25 years old. She has had psoriasis for over 15 years and it is very emotionally distressing to her. It causes her to have poor self esteem. I would love to have your home remedy. Thank you for your help.

» abb_sista - DUMBSTRUCK

Hello
My name is Alysha and I'm 19 years old. When I was 18 I was bit by a brown raccluse spider and after having something like "strept Throat" I got psoriasis and with some potent and obviously toxic creams it went away. a year later here I am and I get sick "something like strept throat" (both were the most severe and only cases I've ever had and following each I got psoriasis) anyway I've been going nuts and I don't usually let it get me down but it's all over I can hardly enjoy summer like I used to I'm embarrassed all the time and constant dandruff-it's sick and now im paranoid that i could be loosing my hair. It's really deppressing and now i spend most of my free time trying to find a cure or tanning-which is horrible or I buy this 40$ bottle of toxic stuff called betamethasone-Dipropinate every week and if I could afford more I'd buy it every day. Well I'm dumbstruck because I just found out my mom is allergic to penicillin and I probably am too. I don't know if each time I was sick I was perscribed penicillin but If this is the case do you have any information that may help me???? I keep telling myself everyday that it's all okay and I'm lucky to be alive but then there are days when I feel like it's ruining my life and I just keep crying uncontrollably. I dunno. I can't give up and accept this and all my extra time is spent on the computer looking for an answer. Well anyway You may have helped me and I look forward to hearing from you. THANKS! ~ALYSHA~ you can respond to me by email at ABB_sista@yahoo.com
GOD BLESS!

» ladyrasha - living with Psoriasis...

I have had psoriasis for about 20 months now. it started just after my daughter was born. At first I didn't know what it was after about 6 months I finally went to the doctor. All she was able to do was say she was sorry and prescribe Clobetasol. I thought great I'll use this ointment and it will be gone. I had no idea what having this skin condition meant.
Since then I have spent lots of $$$ on so called treatments and it continues to spread. My insurance won't cover these medicines and I am growing deperate. I would like to know more about this remedy. Also if anyone else has any tips with home remedies I would be soo appreciative. Thanks.

» okieuser - living with Psoriasis...

If you are still receiving responses to your message, I would love to have the home remedy for psoriasis. My son has been suffering for the past 2 years and his mainly is on his feet. It makes it extremely difficult for him to wear shoes in the summer, but that is a must at work! The creams work ok as long as we can afford to get them filled. We are self employed and do not have insurance. Thanks!
