Travel clothes for Large Women
This archived discussion is "read only".
» mel - Anyone have any ideas? I'm going to Paris in May and am looking for some practical and decent travel clothes. This is a 10 day trip, I want to take minimal luggage, and I am very self-conscious about my weight (just taking this trip makes me nervous!). I wear a size 28W. So I'm looking for fabrics that either don't wrinkle easily or look good wrinkled. I'll be doing LOTS of walking, and would prefer pants over skirts. I do sew also, so that's an option, but I have no clue what fabrics to choose. Help!!!-- posted by mel » Laurie_Ann - idea's for Paris Depending on your age some european countries perfer women to wear skirts and dresses. I would suggest lots of rayon & cotton light weight skirts, then you could either wear a t-shirt for the casual look or a light blouse to dress it up. The long wrap around skirts seem to be popular right now, so you wont have trouble finding them at a resonable price. I think walking shoes look really cute with long streight skirts and dresses. You could also wear exersize shorts underneith just in case its windy.-- posted by Laurie_Ann
