I think all women are familiar with the allure of the ex. I certainly am. And though I've never felt the stirrings for an ex while involved with a new beau, there is something comforting about returning to the past. We tend to forget that it wasn't necessarily so hot to begin with. The rekindling is inevitably short-lived.I just hope the next time I feel those old familiar stirrings I'll be grown up enough to say "no", too.

And the allure of the ex is indeed a strong one. I wouldn't ever date her again, but I've got one ex who, when I see her, I get happy because she now thinks I'm worthy of spending time with (she didn't after the breakup). But I gotta be careful with that one!! Even if she's really interested in knowing me (not just curious), there's a reason we didn't work out. A big one that I need to remember!

You are so right about the nostalgia involved when considering a meeting with an ex. We DO tend to forget the bad times and wrap the good times in a glow of remembering when.
