» biogardener - A workable way of dating

If children are prepared properly, I have always found that they do not mind a parent dating. What they do mind is the invasion of their home. As long as the date takes place outside the home, children accept the person being dated. If the child is to meet the date, an outside location is much better than the home. It takes away the threat of invasion.

I am speaking from experience. This isn't theory. It works. I have also seen these rules broken by a single father whom I regarded as close as my own son. He brought his date home and she took over the house, making the two teenage daughters feel expendable. That man lost the love of his daughters, because he put his date above the feelings of his family.

» FHS_Football_21 - Dr. Laura

Dr. Laura is a very bright woman. Almost everything she says makes sense to me. Only the things about love....those seem foreign to her.

Now I'm kinda curious....does she ever say anything about single fathers? Maybe she could mention that single fathers make just as good parents as single mothres.

People say "oh, how does that mom keep her life straight?" and things like that. Does anyone ever look at the fathers and say " hey, what a parent?" or something? No, now I'm not a father... but I plan to be someday. But there are so many down sides to being a father... a man isn't any longer responsible for just his own life but his kids and wife. I don't know if I'm ready for the responsiblity.
