Aggressive 8 Month-old Siamese
This archived discussion is "read only".
» adawny - PLEASE HELP! Hi Everyone,I have an 8 month old Siamese named Abby. Her father was Siamese and her mother was a barn cat. She was the only kitten, having no litter mates. My boyfriend and I took her in at approx. 4 weeks as she was living with the mother outdoors and was severly infested with fleas. She is a very social cat and loves to be around other people and my sister's and her boyfriend's dog, however, she can be very aggressive. She doesn't like to be held and will bite, scratch and hiss. She has been getting more and more aggressive. She was spayed at 6 months and although we did not want to have her declawed, we are rethinking that option and may have her declawed via lasers (less pain & recovery time we've heard) I am nervous when other people come over due to her aggression even though she has never attached anyone. I believe she needs to go on some medication for her anxiety. We are trying our best to be patient parents to Abby. We want to learn how we can help her to be less aggressive. I love her dearly, but never even consider getting another Siamese... Any help that can be provided would be wonderful! I can be e-mailed at alix_5@hotmail.com Are there any chat rooms for siamese owners re: advice and commentary? Thanks to all who respond! Adawny -- posted by adawny
