Snowman was a wonderful pet, affectionate yet independent. He was the only cat in a houseful of dogs but they all seemed to understand that he was 'top pet' as he had come into the household before all of them. I think at times, he 'looked down' on them as inferior but mostly I think he felt like 'one of them', especially when he found his place on the bed right beside them. -- posted by Joy Butler » seranade - Re: Siamese Cats Yes Tippy was quite a Character. She acted like a dog and not a cat. Siamese cats are like that they act like dogs as far as being very loyal and wanting to be near there owners. Meiser's (Siamese Cats) love to sleep with there owners, as you stated in your message Joy. Chester will sit at the table with Mike and I, in his own chair while we are eating. In response to Siamese Cats posted by JButler: -- posted by seranade » DustyToo - How about Lilac Point How about "lilac point?" That's me, as you can see from my photograph. You are right. We do get bored easily, especially in Winnipeg where we cats are not allowed to run around free but have to be on a leash. I would have a lot more fun chasing other cats out of my yard. They think they own it, because they are allowed to run around free and I am not. At least, my mom lets me type on the computer. That keeps me busy in the winter. -- posted by DustyToo » Azked - Siamese Cats like dogs! I have grown up with Siamese cats and currently have 2 boys. FuManChu and Murphy just shy of a year old.I call them affectionately my "baby dogs". I have found that we have to play an hour maybe hour and a half before bed. Otherwise I am woken up at 4am to a ball ready to play. Or the "boot scoot" for lack of a better term around the bed. They play hide in seek in the pillows, which is great at 4am! When I get home from work they are always in the window and as I walk up the front porch they wait on the little table inside the door and immediately stretch up for hugs and kisses. They will even stretch to touch the door knob to make sure I haven't forgotten how to get in. I have spent some many hours playing fetch that I decided to video tape the accuracy and skill that he has and am going to send it in to one of the pet channels! Some people are a bit afraid of their forwardness, and their voices cause as we all know they are a talkative breed. But, after some time are amazed at their loyalty to me, their attentiveness to commands, and I have even had the pizza delivery guy ask me for the name of the breeder I purchased them from. I could go on all day about my Boys! I will leave this thought, GET TWO!! -- posted by Azked » seranade - Siamese Cats like dogs! Sorry to be late on the response. I did not realize you left a message. I agree they are like dogs. I like your story about your boys. Chester likes to follow my husband and I everywhere!
