» DustyToo - My Adoption Well, your Chester is a pretty smart cat. He knew that you would be a good mom to him. I adopted my mom Traute the same way. I was in a home with a good mom before, but she already had a spoiled brat of a cat who was not even Siamese, and he tried to tell me that he was the boss. I did not like to live in the same house with him. So when Traute came to have a look at me, I knew how to win her heart. I just climbed on her lap where I felt safe from the other monster cat.I even let Traute put a harness on me, even though I had never even heard of such a thing before. I just knew that I could trust her, and I have never regretted it. She took me home and let me be boss in her house. That's what I wanted. -- posted by DustyToo » carolamom2002 - Re: My Adoption In response to My Adoption posted by DustyToo:Hi your cat looks like my Joey. I have had 2 siamese cats my first cat was taken from me and then I got Joey. He is a great cat he lets my kids do what they want with him. Good luck with your baby -- posted by carolamom2002 » seranade - Re: Re: My Adoption Siamese cats are wonderful pets. My cat Chester, who is in the welcome area if this Siamese Cat Topic loves to jump on Mike's back. They are also very entertaining. He loves to sit on my saddle and on the iron board. In response to Re: My Adoption posted by carolamom2002: -- posted by seranade » nycsiamese - I am amazed that Chester doesn't sit on you in a favorite chair I am amazed that Chester doesn't sit on you in a favorite chair! Most Siamese I have known are high-contact cats and would clearly prefer to sit on YOU in any fashion, and will only settle for nearby furniture as a last resort. We had a few Klingers who seemed to want a new life as breast implants! They took the meaning of adopted Siamese twin to a whole new level!!!Siamese are an incredibly intense kitty - unignorable, athletic, and mischevious, even vexacious at times. We've had ones who can open doors, drawers, and cages. You have to be sure you want that level of challenge / supervision / overbearing domineering behavior before you adopt one! -- posted by nycsiamese » seranade - I am amazed that Chester doesn't sit on you in a favorite chair Yes, Chester does like to sit in my favorite chair. He also opens drawers as well. I find Siameses to be very loyal pets. Yes they do think they own you but they do make loyal pets.Seranade, Siamese Cat Writer In response to I am amazed that Chester doesn't sit on you in a favorite chair posted by nycsiamese: -- posted by seranade
