I just want to comment on the opening quotation, "The process for living starts at birth . . ." I don't think that anyone seriously believes that any more, because unborn babies are quite aware of their surroundings, especially of the emotional state of the mother. They feel acceptance as well as rejection, joy as well as sadness, and their personality is being shaped by those experiences.
