» Gwenda - Welcome to Suite101!

Enjoyed reading your first article, Chris! On an e-list I belong to a discussion just started about whether Shakespeare in fact wrote his plays. I personally think he did write them, but what do you think?
All the best!

» Dantessa - Re: Welcome to Suite101!

I think he wrote them, and that's what I really want to believe, regardless! ;-)

I ADORE Shakespeare (and all of British lit, really). When all my friends were out doing typical teenage things, I was in reading his plays. Doesn't say much for my social life, but it did do a great deal for my education!

I'm looking forward to participating in your topic, Chris. Welcome aboard!

» queenofswords26 - Who Wrote Shakespeare

In response to message posted by Dantessa:

This has been a huge debate for many, many years, but I really wasn't planning to deal with in detail. First of all, it's a big enough subject to have a topic unto itself and, second, I've never felt that the identity of the author was relevant to the enjoyment of his (her?) plays.
However, I will add links that do deal with who wrote Shakespeare, and if "my public" insists, I might rethink my position. In the meantime, if anyone else wants to write about the authorship question (thereby letting me off the hook), feel free!

» Susan Keeping - My new site

I just wanted to let you know I am the CE for Shakespeare on Film. I have been browsing around looking for other Shakespeare sites in the Suite.

I look forward to reading your articles.
